It’s time for our MeinMMO format “MMORPG news in two minutes.” We summarize the most important news in the world’s best genre. Look forward to the early access launch of Throne and Liberty, the World-First race in WoW, and much more.
The highlights of the week:
- Throne and Liberty has entered early access, with the final launch following on October 1, 2024. To ensure your start goes as smoothly as possible, we have prepared an overview article compiling all previously published guides and tips.
- The EA launch on Thursday night did not go smoothly, and a rather long maintenance period followed on Friday – you can find out more about it here.
- Not all content for Throne and Liberty is available yet: Schedules for events, castle sieges, resource bosses, field bosses, blessing stones, and conflict stones.
- Amazon Games has also released the roadmap for the coming months in Throne and Liberty.
What else happened? The competition for the first World-First victory in WoW: The War Within continues to keep fans on edge. No wonder, as Echo and Liquid are racing head-to-head. Additionally, we have already seen tough content blockers and cheating pros. Who will bring down Queen Ansurek first?

This is what happened with the big MMORPGs:
- If you’re missing items from the guild bank in WoW, Blizzard had bad news this week.
- Are you having trouble with the depths in WoW: The War Within? MeinMMO demon Cortyn has the perfect trick for you.
- The NPCs in WoW have been pulling the wool over your eyes for weeks. This week, Blizzard responded. But still keep an eye on your auction house bids … a player lost the savings of 17 years due to an error.
- By the way: The Mythic Plus dungeons of the current WoW expansion are significantly more popular than the M+ counterparts from Dragonflight.
- How many mounts do you have in WoW? A player has reached the milestone of 1,000 mounts after 20 years. He needed 408 dungeon visits just for grave stalkers.
- Oh dear … a tank gets kicked from a dungeon because the group leader misunderstands a term from WoW. Another community discussion revolves around difficulty: A WoW player clearly states: “Everyone wants to play hard content, but no one wants to make an effort”.
- There are first impressions of the new PvP zone in New World Aeternum … seems fun. By the way, with New World Aeternum, the “Season of Opportunity” will also start simultaneously. More information can be found on newworld.com. There is also a FAQ about what will happen with the servers when Aeternum and the console versions arrive, available via newworld.com.
- The developers of Elder Scrolls Online responded to allegations that they are issuing bans using AI.
- Exciting: A former lead reveals how much revenue Elder Scrolls Online has generated each month for ten years.
- On September 25, 2024, there was an update for Lost Ark to make adjustments to anti-cheat and to place gifts into all players’ inventories – read more on playlostark.com.
- On September 29, 2024, the Producer’s Letter LIVE Part 83 for Final Fantasy XIV will take place, find out more on finalfantasyxiv.com.
This is what happened with the small MMORPGs:
- In Tarisland, players should level up to max level as quickly as possible, the winner didn’t even have time for half an episode of Scrubs.
- The new medieval MMORPG Reign of Guilds is now available for free on Steam. The game features a karma system that can greatly influence gameplay.
- The developers of Blade and Soul have been working on their game and will soon release a new version with improved graphics and a different name.

This is what happened with MMORPGs in development:
- There was first gameplay for ArcheAge 2, which also has a new name. In the presentation of ArcheAge Chronicles, something was missing: the genre designation “MMORPG”. Instead, the developers referred to it as an online action RPG, following an unusual trend.
- The MMORPG The Quinfall has entered the next beta phase this week. This time, you can finally conquer the seas with pirate ships, and your ability to build houses on land has also been improved.
- ArenaNet is looking for reinforcements for an “unannounced project” – What about Guild Wars 3?
