When will the update be available? The update for Borderlands 4 is already available and should install automatically. At the latest, when you restart the game.
What does the update bring? The update is packed with changes that affect both performance and features or certain balancing aspects.

New FOV slider for PS5, Xbox Series X/S provides overview
The most important contents of the update: One of the key points is that a highly requested feature is being added: You now get a field-of-view slider on consoles as well. This gives you the option to adjust the field of view of your vault hunters and gain more overview.
In addition, the following points are included:
- The weekly activities rotate. There is a new boss you can challenge in “Moxxi’s Fat Addition.” This is a stronger version of an existing boss, which should bring you particularly good loot.
- The weekly wildcard mission with guaranteed legendary loot will be changed.
- The dinosaur Maurice is moving with his shop.
- Performance will be enhanced. Various stability issues are to be addressed. It is to be hoped that performance problems will generally improve.
- There was a multiplayer issue where you could suddenly receive a lot of XP at once. This has been resolved.
- Several changes were made to the vault hunters. There were unforeseen effects with various skills that shouldn’t occur. These have been adjusted now.
- Further gameplay bugs have been removed.
- And various changes have been made to some weapons.
