The survival game Sengoku Dynasty will be the indirect successor to the Steam hit Medieval Dynasty, and the release date is finally known.
What kind of game is it? Sengoku Dynasty is a mix of survival game, life simulation, and RPG. The game places you in feudal Japan, where you are to build and rule your own village following the success recipe of the indirect predecessor Medieval Dynasty.
Within your newly founded community, you take on various tasks and ensure the survival of your family.
Like Medieval Dynasty, Sengoku Dynasty also relies on typical survival and RPG mechanics. You can forge alliances with NPCs and build weapons, tools, and buildings. Additionally, you must supply your village with food.
But especially the constant interaction with NPCs is an important part of the gameplay, as anyone who wants to found and expand a village must meet the needs of the inhabitants of their land.

What features does the game offer? Even though Sengoku Dynasty will initially start in Early Access, some features are already known that are supposed to characterize the survival game and which will either be included at release or added over time:
- Sengoku Dynasty uses Unreal Engine 5
- The open world offers various biomes such as mountainous landscapes, hot springs, and cherry groves
- Sengoku Dynasty will have a coop mode, even though it can also be played solo in the traditional way
- You can choose whether to play in first-person perspective or look over your character’s shoulder
When is the release? Sengoku Dynasty will be released in Early Access on Steam on August 10, 2023.
