The new survival MMO Nightingale is announced for February and plans a playtest for early 2024 – last time 12,000 players participated. You can find out how to sign up for the stress test now on MeinMMO.
- Nightingale is an upcoming survival MMO that will be released on Steam. The title developed by Inflexion Games takes place in an open fantasy world with a Victorian style. There, players explore mysterious “Fae worlds”.
- The survival MMO was originally supposed to be released in early access in 2022, but that has been postponed multiple times.
- In November, over 12,000 players were able to explore the current version of the Victorian fantasy world in a closed playtest. Alone 2,000 hours were spent by players in the character editor.

How can I sign up for the playtest? The playtest will take place according to Inflexion Games in early 2024. You can easily sign up now via the shop page of Nightingale on Steam. You will find the button there under the information about early access:
Once you have requested access and confirmed the access again, it says that you will receive a notification via email when new participants are accepted. We cannot tell you how long that will take at this time.
On the Nightingale website, the developers state that the “stress test” is separate from other tests: “If you previously filled out a playtest survey or received playtest keys, you do NOT gain access to the stress test.”
Thus, one must sign up anew for this test in any case. They also point out that participation is free of charge and does not involve purchasing a copy of Nightingale.
The developers want to push the servers to their limits
What happens during the playtest? The developers invite all players to help “destroy” the network while they put the Nightingale servers under stress test in early 2024.
They also write what they expect from the test:
There are no bad results in this test. Whether the connections work smoothly or the servers catch fire, the team will gain valuable information to prepare for the early access launch in February.
We hope that all participants can connect to the realms and enjoy the first few hours of gameplay without interruption. However, it may happen that some or all participants have longer connection times than usual or are even unable to connect.
