A new shooter on Steam lets you and your friends take down a regime and its strongholds as guerrilla fighters.
What shooter is it about? Polaris (Steam) is a new PvE shooter that takes place in a sci-fi setting and can be played cooperatively with up to 4 players.
The shooter boasts a completely destructible environment, various vehicles, and a lot of weapons with which you can battle for the revolution against a regime.
Currently, the game is still in development and has no release date yet.
Here you can see a trailer for Polaris:
With superpowers against a regime
What do you do in the shooter? You are so-called “skystormers,” whose planet has been taken over by a regime. Your goal is to free yourself from oppression, kick the regime’s ass as a guerrilla fighter with superpowers, and lay their infrastructure to waste as a wrecking ball.
To achieve your goal, you have a lot of weapons at your disposal. Additionally, you can hijack tanks and jets to strike the regime with their own weapons.
Polaris aims to deliver intense fire fights both on land and in the air, blowing up everything that stands in your way or simply gets in your way.
How can you currently play the shooter? You can already play the shooter before its release in a playtest on Steam. Registrations are already possible.
- If you have registered for the game’s newsletter, you will receive four Steam keys that give you access to the test.
- All others can simply apply for access through the Steam page and will receive a notification via email once new accesses are granted.
The first pre-alpha event is scheduled to run from Friday, September 6, to Monday, September 9.
Since the game is still in development, the information about the Steam shooter can also change at any time and should be taken with caution.
