What is Star Wars: The Acolyte about? The first announced series carries the title Star Wars: The Acolyte. It is a mystery thriller set in the final days of the High Republic.
In the series, a former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to closely examine a series of crimes. However, the forces they confront turn out to be more sinister than expected.
Who is starring? Among the cast are “Squid Game” star Lee Jung-jae, Amanda Stenberg (The Hunger Games), and Dafne Keen (Logan).
What makes Star Wars: The Acolyte exciting? As Dafne Keen told techradar.com in an interview, the series will place a strong focus on the villains of the universe, taking a different perspective compared to previous Star Wars series: “It’s a story with the Sith at the forefront, like never before.”
The series is set to clarify how the Sith managed to infiltrate the ranks of the Jedi and represents a prequel that takes place 100 years before the 2nd Star Wars trilogy.
