With Vampir, a new MMORPG has been released in some countries at the end of August, which quickly became a lucrative cash cow for the developers of Netmarble.
What kind of MMORPG is this? The Korean mobile experts from Netmarble (Lineage 2 Revolution, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad) released Vampir on August 26, 2025, in their home market for iOS, Android, and PC.
Vampir lets you – similar to Lost Ark – explore the dark world of the game from an isometric perspective. You can choose between 4 classes, each bringing its own weapon into battle:
- The Carnage is the sharpshooter among vampires, using firearms forged from the blessed aura of blood.
- The Blood Stain wields purplish blades and is considered a sadistic knight who plunges into battle with unrestrained bloodlust.
- The Viper casts ancient magic and curses to control foes.
- Last but not least, the Grim Reaper carries a scythe that can separate souls from bodies.
Through customizable bloodlines, character development can be influenced. With mounts and shadowy teleportation, you travel through the world. You will encounter hordes of enemies, large bosses, and various events in the world.

How did the launch of Vampir go? The website gameshub.com reports some server problems at launch. Nonetheless, those responsible at Netmarble can look back on the launch very satisfied.
As reported by the Korean industry website inven.co.kr, Vampir has generated more than $25 million in revenue in just the first 20 days. This exceeds the expectations of analysts and Netmarble itself, prompting an upward adjustment of the targets for the current financial year.
The player influx in Korea was so high that the developers had to bring several additional worlds online.

Is Vampir coming to us? According to mmorpg.org.pl, Vampir is set to receive a global launch, but there is still no information on the timing.
Vampir reminds a bit of ODIN: Valhalla Rising, which also first launched in Asia for PC and mobile and developed into a mega-hit there. However, when it finally launched in the West four years later, disappointment set in.
