New MMORPG to EverQuest is supposed to be a modern reboot for Part 1, one detail makes skeptical

The highlights of the week:

In the new episode of “Tico Talks,” the first castle sieges of Throne and Liberty were discussed, with thousands of players participating, and the lessons Amazon Games learned for upcoming battles.
Patch 1.8 brought some problems to Solisium last week, which continue to have an effect today. Especially tanks and healers are suffering.

The German developers of CipSoft continue to clean up in their MMORPG Tibia. This time, a character that ranked high in the global leaderboard was caught. The developers have since commented on the account penalties and announced subsequent reviews of the deletions (via tibia.com).
The game RuneScape, released in January 2001, is one of the largest and most successful MMORPGs in gaming history. The classic “Old School” version has now achieved an impressive record.
On eveonline.com, the developers of Eve Online presented the changes from the Revenant update. Expect tactical mercenary operations, and you currently need to defend the Deathless facilities.
This week, a new event and a fresh raid boss went live on the servers of Tarisland (via tarisglobal.com), and the developers have published a roadmap for December 2024 (via X).
The developers of EverQuest have released a preview of the update “The Outer Brood” (via everquest.com), which is set to launch next week.
