The MMORPG The Quinfall is starting its next beta this week. This time, you can finally conquer the seas with pirate ships, and your ability to build houses on land has also improved.
What kind of game is this? The new MMORPG The Quinfall relies heavily on grind and is reminiscent of the classic Metin2. The menus, animations, and even the riding look almost like those in Metin2, which was released 20 years ago. For a long time, it was debated whether the game actually exists, but the latest beta tests showed an unfinished, yet real MMORPG.
In a new video on YouTube, the developers show what players can expect in the new beta. While previous tests revealed a resemblance to Metin2 and Black Desert Online, The Quinfall aims to introduce a new element into the game during the upcoming test: piracy.
In addition to trading at sea, there are also caravans in the MMORPG:
As a Pirate at Sea
What is the focus of the beta? The focus of the next beta test, starting on September 27 on Steam, is likely to be maritime trade and piracy. The system for this was supposed to be tested in the last beta, but only a few players got to experience it, and what was shown was still quite rudimentary.
In the new showcase of the game, the developers present the improved system, where you can not only sail the seas as a captain but also choose the equipment for your ship as you wish.
With the ship, you can then navigate to waters where PvP is activated and fight against other pirates or ambush trading ships. These are controlled by players attempting to earn gold through trading.
What else does the showcase reveal? The developers want to primarily build on the systems from the last test and demonstrate what improvements they have made based on player feedback.
On Discord, a developer writes: “Our current beta version includes significant changes, improvements, and hundreds of bug fixes to all our current content.”
In addition to many action-packed battles against various monsters, bosses, and other opponents, the developers also showcase an expansion of the base-building feature. This is an important element in The Quinfall.
Each player can build a base in the MMORPG and manufacture important materials for their character. Those who produce more can also give the goods to other players or sell them.
Clans and guilds also have their own base, where multiple players can build simultaneously and use the equipment available on-site. Players can also choose to live in rented space, as shown by the developers in the video.
Initially, not many believed in the authenticity of the MMORPG, but The Quinfall managed to convince players of its legitimacy in the last test, though it was only well-received by a few: The new MMORPG is in beta on Steam, facing harsh criticism – Here’s how you can form your own opinion
