The highlights of the week:
- The Quinfall is currently not only particularly affordable on Steam (€1.95), but also continues to receive new content from the developers. Freshly announced: the Party Finder as an important support to find players for groups, as well as the battlefield event Zenith Conquest. You can find the details on Steam.
- The past days were clearly all about Chrono Odyssey. First, there was detailed information from the developers about the MMORPG, and YouTube Shorts about some of the classes.
- Executive Producer Sangtae Yoon was also available for interviews and explained among other things, why Asian MMORPGs currently place such a strong focus on PvE content.
- Our MMORPG enthusiast Karsten Scholz is very pleased that the new gameplay looks so good: I was skeptical about whether Chrono Odyssey could impress, now I am even more excited about the MMORPG. Also, many players celebrate the developers’ recent presentation.
- The play reports of various streamers and YouTubers also show that there is still a lot of work to be done before the release.
- The developers of Chrono Odyssey not only released a new trailer at the Summer Game Fest 2025, but also revealed in detail when the closed beta is supposed to take place and how to increase your chances for an invitation.
What else has happened? Dune: Awakening is not a true MMORPG but the undoubtedly most exciting release for genre fans due to its MMO elements. WoW: New campaign, new quests, and improved balance
This is what happened with the big MMORPGs:
- New campaign, new quest lines, overloaded depths, and class changes starting June 18, 2025. The Patch 11.1.7 for World of Warcraft brings a lot of innovations.
- There was also an unexpected adjustment this week: All tanks in WoW have been buffed by 16% because DPS characters were too strong. Furthermore, a current content has become easier: New buff makes disturbing visions child’s play – even with 8 masks.
- A fact check of a different kind: World of Warcraft is full of invisible rabbits. But is that true? And if so, why are these rabbits everywhere?
- The Amazon MMORPG Throne and Liberty fascinated many players in the fall of 2024. One of them played the game for about 2,000 hours but is now pulling the plug. As a farewell gift, he leaves behind 9 things that need to change.

- During the Summer Game Fest, Zenimax revealed that Elder Scrolls Online now boasts 26 million players. - In 2012, a Japanese MMORPG was taken offline. A player managed to log in in 2025 and writes on Reddit about what he found: Final Fantasy XIV 1.0.
- Let’s stay in Eorzea: On June 20, the next Letter from the Producer LIVE will take place, which is supposed to focus on Patch 7.3. In addition, there will be maintenance for worlds, Lodestone, and Co. on June 16/17, because Patch 7.25 is coming; you can read the details at finalfantasyxiv.com.

This is what happened with the smaller MMORPGs:
- With 4Story: The Original, a new MMORPG launched on Steam on June 11, 2025, with only 26 percent positive reviews.
- Next week, the shutdown of Fractured Online is scheduled. On June 17, there will be a stream in which the developers will address the relaunch in detail (via mmorpg.com).
- In RuneScape and Old School RuneScape, the already finished content for the “Pride 2025” event was supposed to go live. However, due to the “current social climate”, the decision was made not to release it (via mmorpg.com). This apparently caused some internal disagreements.

- The developers of Blade & Soul NEO have released a teaser trailer for the Warlock class on YouTube.

This is what happened with the MMORPGs in development:
- In the new test build of Stars Reach, wild wormholes now appear in the universe, allowing access to new planets. You can read the details at starsreach.com.
- The developers of Fantastic Pixel Castle, currently working on the project Ghost, remain true to their communicative line and wanted to know this time from the MMORPG community who prefers to heal, tank or deal damage, and why. The players’ answers range from remarkable to disturbing.
- With Ashbreather’s Enclave, Update 0.16.685 for Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen has gone live. Expect new content for high-level heroes, bug fixes, and general adjustments. You can find the patch notes at Steam.
- On Steam, you can currently try many new games for free: One of them is the MMORPG BitCraft. However, players warn that there is still one important thing missing.
- On June 11, 2025, the “Path of the Adventurer” update was released for the Early Access version of Pax Dei. Due to the extensive changes to the world, the role-playing system, crafting, and more, there was a server wipe. You can find the official patch notes at playpaxdei.com.
- In July 2024, Lord Nine, the new MMORPG from the Lost Art developers, launched in South Korea. Now a new website has gone live at l9asia.onstove.com, which is supposed to make an English version of the game available.
