After the surprise beta in early November, the announcement for Early Access on Steam follows: The MMO shooter Pioner is indeed set to launch in 2025, as promised by the developers.
When does Early Access start? Pioner will enter Early Access on Steam on December 16, 2025. This keeps the promise made by the developers of GFAGAMES to release the MMO shooter in a playable version this year.
A few weeks ago, a beta for Pioner unexpectedly launched, allowing interested players to try out the first 5 acts of the story campaign. It is still unclear how the Early Access version will differ in scope from the beta. The new trailer for the Early Access announcement only showcases the contents of the Deluxe Edition:
The Day Before, but better?!
What is Pioner for you as a game? The mixture of RPG, MMO shooter, and survival slightly resembles The Division, but introduces supernatural zombies. The Day Before was supposed to fill this gap 2 years ago and managed to build enormous hype beforehand. The MMO shooter is set in a post-apocalyptic world filled with various monsters, including creatures that resemble zombies. Apart from the story campaign, you can expect various activities like PvE missions, PvP arenas, events, and mini-games such as fishing and gambling.
