Fortnite: Battle Royale has its own Halloween event. In it, you can earn a series of skins and outfits in the Skull Trooper look.
What is available for Halloween? As many players suspected, the legendary outfit Skull Trooper is returning to the shop for Halloween. The skin was available in 2017, shortly after the release of the Battle Royale mode. At that time, only a fraction of the current player base played the game. Accordingly, the skin has been quite rare so far.
What do the Halloween skins look like? The clear highlight is the Skull Trooper, which is available in the game again after exactly one year. The skin was previously one of the rarest and most sought-after outfits in the game. Accounts with the Skull Trooper were worth hundreds of euros on eBay.
But there are even more new skins and outfits:
- Female Skull Trooper: In 2017, the Skull Trooper was exclusively male, the female Halloween skin was a zombie-painted version of Ramirez aka “Ghoul Trooper”. In 2018, there will also be a female version of the Skull Trooper.
- Pickaxe “Skull Scythe”: This harvesting tool features a ghostly scythe.
- Spooky Glider “Coffin Glider”: A glider in the shape of a coffin with bat wings is a special highlight of the Halloween collection.
- Ghost Portal Back Bling: In addition to the outfits, there is also a special back bling called “Ghost Portal” that shows a gate to a dark ghost world.
Each skin has an alternative look with green glow.
How to get the skins? The Halloween skins are available in the shop. The Skull Trooper costs 1,500 V-Bucks. The rest of the items cost 1,200 V-Bucks. That’s 15 or 12 euros. However, you must earn the back bling through challenges.
More skins for Halloween from the shop have also been leaked. What if I already bought the skin back then? Those who bought the Skull Trooper in 2017 will get an extra customization option. Veterans from the beginning can roam in unique purple. This way, your Skull Trooper remains something special.
What challenges will there be? There are specific challenges for the back bling and other goodies. However, they will only become active when you purchase the Skull Trooper. Attention, this only applies to the male trooper. The female version does not unlock any challenges! The challenges are:
- Complete 7 daily challenges: Every day you will be assigned a task and you can have three open at the same time. It will probably take a few days to complete this task.
- Play 50 rounds: This task will eventually be completed, but it may take some time.
- Play 14 rounds with at least one elimination: This one will be tricky, but 14 rounds with at least one kill should eventually happen.
- Search 10 chests in one round: This task may take some time. The best approach is to drop as far away as possible on the map in solo mode and loot all the chests there. That way, you can eventually reach 10.
- Deal 1,000 damage to players in one round: This task requires some skill. Ideally, play this in the 50vs50 mode and deal extra damage by attacking downed enemies.
What rewards do the challenges give? All tasks grant you 1,000 bonus XP. Ideal for leveling up skins like Rift, Ragnarok, Calamity or the Wolf. The task with the chests gives you 5 stars in the Battle Pass. And when you have completed all five tasks, you will receive the Ghost Portal back bling.
