New Exo Rifle in Destiny 2 is, like the weapon of the worst Vex, could become way too powerful

In Destiny 2 Act 3 starts a new Exo mission that, according to Bungie, is supposed to top all previous ones. In line with that, there is also a new Exo rifle to be obtained, but it could become far too powerful.

Which rifle is being referred to? This is the automatic rifle “Concordance of Resonance,” which Guardians will soon be able to obtain with the upcoming Exo mission “Encore.” The rifle belongs to the Void element and requires special ammunition. In the new trailer for Destiny 2, fans are already being prepared for Act 3, and the weapon is even shown in action.

Anyone who has been playing Destiny for a long time surely knows that new Exos are always the highlight for Guardians. This rifle is no exception, and with its attack pattern, it could even be far too powerful. We will show you why.

New Exo turns you into the Wyvern

Why could the rifle be too powerful? Bungie has a long history with broken weapons. The best example is Telesto. The fusion rifle is known for breaking Destiny 2 and the new rifle could achieve the same status. The reason for this assumption is the functionality and firing pattern of the weapon.

When looking at the clip from the trailer where the weapon is shown in action, there are clear similarities with the firing pattern of the Wyverns, the probably nastiest Vex in Destiny 2. The shots split into 5 small Void projectiles, which then explode upon impact. The rifle is also supposed to use special ammunition.

One could say that the more complex a weapon functions in Destiny 2, the higher the chance that it will be broken or too powerful. Even with Telesto, it was often the tingling particles that caused problems, and when looking at the complexity of the projectiles from “Concordance of Resonance,” the rifle could have the potential to break the game.

When will “Concordance of Resonance” be released? That is still unknown. The weapon will be the reward for the new Exo mission “Encore.”

However, the rifle could also be unlocked as a blueprint like the Exo bow “Dreamstrider.” It remains to be seen what further information Bungie will publish.
