A new patch has adjusted some heroes in Overwatch and brought a new event. In Bastion’s Block Challenge, amazing rewards in Lego style await.
What kind of challenge is this? Bastion’s Block Challenge is active now, since the evening of September 17. Similar to previous events like Ana’s Bastet Challenge, you need to win nine games.
You can complete the games as usual in Quick Play, in the Ranked mode, or in Arcade.
These rewards are available: For completing the challenge, you will receive different rewards based on tiers. For every three wins, you will earn loot:
- For the first 3 wins, you will receive 2 icons
- For the next 2 wins, you will receive 2 sprays (6 wins total)
- For the final 2 wins, you will receive the new legendary skin “Bastion” in Lego style (9 wins total)
The event appears to be further advertising for the various Overwatch Lego sets.
Additionally, you will receive more cosmetics for watching various streams, for each 2, 4, and 6 hours. On a list, you can find the participating streamers including times. The event is running now and ends on September 30, 2019.
Patch from September 17 – Patch Notes
Changes to the heroes: In addition to the new challenge, Blizzard is changing some of the heroes in Overwatch.
- Bastion: Self-repair no longer costs resources when used at maximum hit points and now allows Bastion to regenerate for 0.25 seconds before firing again.
- Symmetra: The width of her primary fire beam has been reduced from 0.3 to 0.2 meters, and damage from 65/130/195 to 60/120/180.
- Zarya: The width of the primary fire beam is now 0.15 meters regardless of energy and deals 170 damage per second at maximum energy, instead of 190.
The new hero Sigma‘s abilities have been adjusted:
- The damage of Hyperspheres has been reduced from 35 to 30.
- The Experimental Barrier now has a toggle function and a hack from Sombra makes it return to Sigma. An EMP destroys it completely.
- The explosion damage of Accretion has been increased from 50 to 60.
- The duration of Gravitational Flux has been increased from 0.4 to 0.6 seconds.
