Although Fellowship is not a real MMORPG, many genre fans are looking forward to the upcoming Early Access launch on Steam for the MODA. The game now showcases itself in a new trailer in the best light.
What kind of game is this? Fellowship describes itself as a “Multiplayer Online Dungeon Adventure” and it is exactly that: a co-op game for up to 4 players, where you can experience dungeons like in an MMORPG.
However, the game differentiates itself from the genre in terms of grind and leveling phase. Players essentially start directly in the endgame and do not have to retrieve necklaces from villagers or defeat 35 werewolves before entering the dungeons.
The goal is to immediately enter dungeons with challenging difficulty, making it suitable for all MMORPG fans, even if they currently do not have time for a big MMORPG. How this looks in reality is shown by the developers in the new trailer:
Great anticipation for the launch
What is the mood among the fans? Fans are excited for the launch of the “MODA”. In the past, they have been able to try out Fellowship repeatedly before it enters Early Access on Steam on Thursday at 6:00 PM.
Fans are commenting under the YouTube trailer:
- @GooberTroy: “I can’t wait to dive in with all of you on the 16th. I hope for a smooth launch.”
- @jose85333: “I hope I can give up all my MMOs for this game. I hope everyone enjoys it, and we can have a community to play with.”
- @AllieKarst: “I’m so excited! This is exactly the game I have needed since I stopped playing WoW.”
How much will Fellowship cost? The developers of Fellowship have announced that the game will be offered in Early Access for €24.99 (via si.com). Additionally, supporter packs that include cosmetic skins for the characters will be available for €19.99 per set or €39.99 for all 3 sets together on Steam.
Players can grab Twitch Drops for free starting on release. Each drop includes an armor skin for the characters Helena, Sylvie, and Elarion. For a viewing time of two hours, you will receive the mount “Scryer’s Warhorse.”
Fellowship is a great alternative for all players who do not have time for a “real MMORPG” but still want to enjoy dungeons, loot, and leveling. The customizable difficulty promises to keep the game appealing over time. MeinMMO author Cedric Holmeier has already tested the MODA twice with the developers: If you love the endgame in MMORPGs, a game on Steam offers you plenty of that, but there is a catch
