New co-op shooter on Steam lets you fight nasty monsters with magic and guns

With the horror co-op shooter VEIL on Steam, Studio Greywolv makes its gaming debut. In it, you take on the role of a soldier who can use magic through a pact with a demon. This is desperately needed, as you will face not only simple soldiers but also nasty monsters.

What kind of game is this? VEIL is a co-op shooter with horror elements. In groups of up to four, you take on the roles of so-called Occult Operators. These are not just simple soldiers, but also powerful wizards of magic working for ominous ancient organizations.

This special equipment with magic is also crucial, as you will not only face human mercenaries. In fact, you can expect nasty monsters and demons here that are certainly after you.

You use your magic accordingly in combat, but also as a means of movement. You can get a personal impression with the first trailer for the game:

Which studio is making the game? VEIL is being developed by Graewolv and is the team’s first game. The studio was founded in 2022. According to their recruitment page on Diveinjobs.com, the company is based in Malta, while LinkedIn lists Linköping in Sweden as its location.

The studio currently has around five employees under the leadership of CEO Jonas Eneroth and CCO Alessandro Tento. Eneroth has been in the gaming industry since 1995 and has worked among others at Bungie and Eidos Interactive, which were later acquired by Square Enix. Alessandro Tento, on the other hand, started as an animator for animated films like Shrek – the brave hero. Later, he worked for EA, Microsoft, and Activision/Blizzard, among others.

For which platforms will VEIL be released and when? Currently, you can add VEIL to your wishlist via Steam for PC. The trailer also announces that the game will be released for consoles. Which ones will be available is not known yet. However, it is likely to be at least released for Xbox Series X|S and PS5.

Unfortunately, a release date is currently still not known.
