The upcoming shooter Outpost: Infinity Siege on Steam combines base building and tower defense. The trailer features impressive heavy artillery and mechs that you can use to face waves of enemies either solo or in co-op.
What kind of game is this? Outpost: Infinity Siege is a first-person shooter with base building and co-op features, developed by Team Ranger and published by Lightning Games. Players fight against hordes of enemies specifically targeting the mobile outpost, which obviously gives the game its name.
To counter this threat, you build massive bases and utilize heavy artillery as well as a range of firearms. The trailer further showcases the use of mechs in which players combat enemies.

When is the game coming out? Originally, the release was planned for the third quarter of 2023. On Steam, the developers wrote on August 7, 2023, that the release would be delayed due to “unresolved issues with optimizing game performance.”
At that time, some storylines were still in development. The developers issued an apology and are aiming for a projected release in February 2024.
Another shooter is set to launch on Steam in 2024. There, you won’t be blasting hordes of enemies with huge guns, but instead kicking monsters in the face – all in a colorful cartoon graphics style.
