Does the 2nd Closed Alpha match the build from the first alpha test?
No changes: The second Battlefield 5 Closed Alpha is directly built on the first build. It will not feature any changes regarding the available maps, weapons, or vehicles. However, there are some important adjustments that DICE and EA want to test and evaluate.
What will be tested in the Battlefield Closed Alpha 2?
Focus on progress: The focus of the second alpha is on the players’ progress speed. Some changes have been made here that are supposed to benefit all players – regardless of their individual skill or playstyle.
Furthermore, the following will be tested in the 2nd Closed Alpha:
- Improvements in matchmaking
- Various gameplay aspects such as map, weapon, and vehicle balance
- Some new systems like attrition and soldier movement
- Server stability
When does the 2nd Closed Alpha of Battlefield 5 start?
The alpha starts on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at 10 AM and will only be available for a limited time. When exactly the alpha ends is not yet known.

Yes, the preload begins on August 13 at 10 AM.
How can one participate in the second Closed Alpha?
Participation by invitation: You can only participate in the second Closed Alpha by invitation. Invitations for numerous new players will soon be sent out via email. These can then be redeemed at Origin.
Players who already participated in the first Closed Alpha of Battlefield 5 will automatically be admitted for the second test phase. For safety, they will also receive an invitation code again.
Codes for the first alpha that have not yet been redeemed can be used for the second alpha.
On which platforms can the Closed Alpha 2 be played?
The Battlefield 5 Closed Alpha 2 is only available on PC and only in English. No alpha test phase is currently planned for Xbox One and PS4.

In Alpha 2, the Conquest mode as well as the Grand Operation “Fall of Norway” will be available, which combines the two modes Airborne and Breakthrough in the Alpha. All modes will be played on the Arctic Fjord map.
