A fan unexpectedly found a new product on Amazon that apparently has to do with Overwatch . It is a bag for the Nintendo Switch styled after the popular hero shooter. Now he and other fans are hoping for a port.
What kind of bag is it? The new product is a protective bag for the Nintendo Switch with a black case, yellow embellishments, and the Overwatch logo both on the case itself and partially stitched in.
Twitter user Wario64 discovered it and directly shared pictures of the bag. You can see that a Nintendo Switch seems to fit perfectly into the bag. Wario64 mentioned that the product is “Officially licensed by Nintendo and Blizzard Entertainment”.
Is the product real? According to Wario64, the bag comes from the provider PowerA. PowerA has previously sold official Nintendo accessories for the Switch, including for Zelda and Super Mario.
That at least suggests that it is a legitimate product. However, the offer was taken offline just a few hours later.
Is Overwatch coming to Nintendo Switch?
This is what fans are speculating: Under the Twitter post, fans are reacting with speculations about whether this means that Overwatch will actually receive a Switch port. User Nibellion brought this up a bit provocatively:
Nothing to see here, folks.
Just two companies working together to create a case for a handheld, inspired by a game that isn’t available on this handheld yet.
Unless
Some fans go even further and speculate whether a Switch version of Overwatch means that Overwatch characters might also appear in the new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate or in a subsequent installment.
This is what the developers say: The topic of Switch has been present for the developers of Overwatch for a while. Back in 2017, it was stated regarding Overwatch on the Switch that it is “quite challenging” to bring Overwatch to the Switch, but they are “always open [to] exploring new platforms.”

In August 2018, it was once again confirmed that a Switch port is “within the realm of possibility” (via cnet.com). However, specific information has been lacking so far.
At least it seems that Overwatch is moving forward at the moment – whether in the direction of Switch is still uncertain:
