Lineage Eternal
NC Soft’s Lineage Eternal is one of the hopeful candidates of the hack ‘n’ slash genre. It should not be confused with the other two parts of the Lineage series, as these are MMORPGs, while Lineage Eternal is primarily an action RPG but also incorporates MMO elements. Although the combat system is reminiscent of that of Diablo, it offers a special feature: You perform special attacks and spells using mouse gestures. The gestures determine the type of attack, its strength, and range.
The large, open game world will be divided into maps that are all large and will accommodate up to 500 players per map. You will encounter other players during your travels, whom you can challenge to PvP duels.
Each map features diverse areas with NPCs that have quests for you, randomly generated dungeons, and large raid zones. Although you control one hero, you can switch between four that you have selected beforehand and quickly switch between them. This allows you to react dynamically to certain situations and quickly use another hero who has better chances against that enemy in a fight.
You improve your characters through experience points, new skills, gems that provide you bonuses, and by collecting increasingly powerful items. The developers place great emphasis on presentation, which is why major battles are staged like movies. In 2017, worldwide betas are expected to start. Currently, there is no release date for Lineage Eternal.
