Once upon a time, there was a little ranger whose favorite task was to roam the vastness of the world of Neverwinter always in search of a new adventure. But one thing made her sad: she had only one paragon path. She wanted to be more than just a vigilant ranger! Eventually, when she no longer believed, she met a good fairy. She granted her one wish—and voilà, thus the Scout tree was born.
Probably the developers of Neverwinter will explain the emergence of the second paragon path for Vigilant Rangers better – but the end will be the same: hopefully a satisfied smile on the faces of the players. Given the repertoire of skills, that is probably to be expected:
- As a Scout, your great strength is the knowledge of hunting, survival, and your leadership skills.
- Flexibly switch between ranged and melee combat.
- Use your support skills like self and group healing to secure your survival and that of your group.
- In emergencies, escape into invisibility and return with massive damage.
- Keep multiple enemies at bay with new crowd control abilities.
- Provide your tank with an aggro boost.
- Use your new Daily power “Blade’s Scar” to leap onto your enemy and apply a debuff.
In short: you will be a true survivor, whether you’re out alone or in a group. So, are you intrigued? Then test the new paragon path directly on May 13, when the new expansion Curse of Icewind Dale goes live.
