The new Free2Play MMO Crossout attempts to combine Mad Max and Ben Hur. A new trailer was released for Gamescom.
Crossout is a kind of post-apocalyptic brawl in upgraded combat vehicles. It’s like World of Tanks without tanks, but with modified killer battle cars. The aesthetic is strongly reminiscent of Mad Max.
The game comes from Gaijin, the creators behind War Thunder and it fits into this “Military-MMO” category as well. Currently, there is a mode that has 8 players per team hunting each other. However, this is expected to be expanded further.
The focus is on configuring your own vehicles, as seen here in the trailer. First tests are expected to take place later this year. On the German homepage of Crossout, you can find more information about the game.
