The new flying robot in ARC Raiders is taking down players one by one. A Raider has now dealt with the dangerous opponent swiftly and almost “casually” eliminated him.
What kind of new opponent is this? With the “Flashpoint” update, a new ARC has emerged in the extraction shooter: the Vaporizer. This is a large flying machine that hunts players with destructive lasers and unpredictable attack patterns.
The Vaporizer is extremely ruthless, as it deals massive damage and can target multiple enemies simultaneously, literally grilling them with its laser.
A player has set a dangerous target and approached the Vaporizer to take it down.
Deadline 1, Vaporizer 0
How did the player take down the ARC? Instead of firing from a distance, the player, equipped with a mine, jumped from a building directly onto the Vaporizer.
As the machine ascended, he placed a mine on the surface of the robot. The player then jumped off again and moved to safety, as the mine was a Deadline, which deals 1,000 damage in a 10-meter radius once the 6-second timer expires.
The Deadline took out the dangerous ARC. The debris conveniently fell right into the building where the player had sought cover. As loot, you will receive, among other things, Vaporizer Regulators needed for the new High-Performance Antenna Project in ARC Raiders.

Tips for Combating Vaporizers
How do you fight the Vaporizer? Those who are not quite so fearless and prefer to keep their distance have other options. Unlike with the rocket launcher, tactical action and good timing are required here, as the Vaporizer can protect itself with a shield.
- One way is to “bait” the shield with a seeker grenade. Once its shield falls, you throw a Wolfpack. Decoy grenades also help to distract the machine’s attention. As long as the Vaporizer is shooting at decoy grenades (or other targets), it has no shield. And as long as it has a shield, it won’t shoot – giving you time to heal and sort your gear.
- The “Hull Breaker” has proven to be particularly effective. This epic special weapon fires projectiles that explode only upon impact, quickly destabilizing the Vaporizer, especially when you hit its thrusters. If you have enough ammunition, you can take the Vaporizer down with it.
- To temporarily stun the Vaporizer, the Showstopper or Hornet’s Driver are good options. Although this does not always stop the entire ARC, at least some thrusters will be disabled, interrupting its attacks.
In general, solid cover is helpful to evade the dangerous attacks. Barricades, however, do little here, as the nimble robots simply fly around them.
During the map event “Under Close Observation”, several Vaporizers fly around together, accompanied by rocket launchers and other smaller flying ARCs. Smoke grenades and the Photoelectric Cloak prove particularly helpful here. On Reddit, players are currently joking that the speaker components needed to build the cloak are now probably the most important resource in the game.
The new ARC, the event, and especially the “Quality of Life” adjustments that came with the Flashpoint update are well received by the players of the extraction shooter. Even those who had previously quit are eager to play again: Players declare the new update of ARC Raiders a “10/10,” because it brings back even burnt-out fans
