Netflix has released a trailer for season 4 of “The Witcher”. But fans are still angry at a decision by Netflix: the recasting of the Witcher Geralt by Liam Hemsworth.
During the weekend (September 13/14, 2025), Netflix presented the latest trailer for season 4 of “The Witcher”. This is the first time viewers see Liam Hemsworth in the role of the Witcher Geralt.
The recasting of the Witcher is highly controversial among fans of the series. The new trailer also stirs up strong feelings among viewers. However, many fans under the official YouTube video ask that Liam Hemsworth not be blamed for the issues, as he has the least responsibility for the recasting.
The release date for season 4 of “The Witcher” is set for October 30, 2025, on Netflix.

Henry Cavill departs after season three of “The Witcher”
