When does Season 2 of One Piece start on Netflix? In a new blog post, Netflix has finally announced the exact release date for Season 2 of One Piece. The continuation of the successful series is set to premiere on March 10, 2025, seamlessly connecting to the events of the first season.
Along with the release announcement, Netflix also released new images, particularly featuring Drum Island, where the crew will meet Chopper.
Everything is supposed to be bigger
What other information is available in the blog post? In the new images from Season 2, scenes from Drum Island can be seen. This is the island where the Straw Hats first meet Chopper, whom we have seen before.

In the images, snowy scenes and the winter clothing that the Straw Hats wear can be seen. The outfits seem to be based on designs from the anime and manga. Regarding the winter location, co-showrunner Joe Tracz says: This is our medieval Winterfell filming location from Game of Thrones, where it haunts on the peak of a snowy mountain, and someone lives there whom the villagers consider a witch.
In this context, Tracz also mentions the Grand Line and the upcoming adventures: Everything is getting bigger. We will see giants and dinosaurs. We end up in the belly of a whale.
In Season 2, the dreams that the crew has promised each other will be put to the test. It should show that the Straw Hats need to rely on each other.
It will also be icy for anime fans in 2026: In April 2026, the Elbaf arc is set to start in the anime (via x.com). The first promo image also promises icy landscapes here. Additionally, it was explained that the anime would only receive 26 episodes next year.
