Netflix is working on a new movie in the fantasy universe of The Witcher and is bringing back the voice of the Witcher from the games for the first time.
What is it about? It is about The Witcher: Sirens of The Deep. This is a new animated film on Netflix set in the dark world of the Witcher. So far, nothing is known about the plot. In a clip already released, we only see Geralt and Jaskier, whom you probably know as Rittersporn or Dandelion, talking while sitting by a campfire.
One thing can already be said: Geralt’s voice is already making the hearts of fans of the games race.

Who will play the role of the Witcher this time? Since Henry Cavill has already turned his back on the Witcher universe of Netflix, he will not return for the film. However, Geralt will not be voiced by Liam Hemsworth, the new Witcher of the main series, either.
Anyone who has played the games with English voice acting should be very familiar with the “new” voice: it is Doug Cockle, who has already lent his voice to the Witcher in the video games.
Netflix brings back a fan favorite
For many fans, Doug Cockle is the one true Geralt, at least as far as the voice is concerned. Accordingly, many viewers are excited about this casting in the YouTube comments under the first clip from the film.

Jaskier will not be voiced by his voice actor from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Joey Batey, the actor from the Netflix series, is still in charge here. It cannot be determined from what has been shown whether more characters from the games will appear and sound like them.
It remains unclear whether Netflix will bring Markus Pfeiffer on board for the German voiceover. He is not only the German voice of the assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze, but also the voice of the Witcher Geralt von Riva since The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.
