MeinMMO asked you which character from Naruto is your number 1. Now we are showing you the ranking. Who made it all the way to the top?
What kind of survey was this? In the survey, you could choose your favorite character from Naruto and Naruto Shippuden – and with so many great characters, the decision could not have been easy. With a single vote, you had the chance to choose the character that excites you the most. There have been over 3,900 votes so far, and a total of 56 characters were available to choose from.
The results are in! We have evaluated them and created your community ranking!

The 10 Most Popular Naruto Characters in the MeinMMO Community Ranking
Here are the characters that made it to places 10 to 4:
- Place 10: Obito Uchiha (3% with 130 votes)
- Place 9: Madara Uchiha (3% with 132 votes)
- Place 8: Hinata Hyuga (4% with 139 votes)
- Place 7: Minato Namikaze (4% with 167 votes)
- Place 6: Shikamaru Nara (5% with 181 votes)
- Place 5: Jiraiya (6% with 223 votes)
- Place 4: Sasuke Uchiha (6% with 250 votes)
It was an exciting neck-and-neck race between Obito and Madara Uchiha, but Madara clinched the 9th place. Gaara narrowly missed the top 10 with 126 votes. Nagato lands in 12th place, while Sakura takes 13th place.
You also had the chance to vote for another
if your favorite was not listed. In the comments, you could name your favorite character. ReeTune311 chose Suigetsu as their favorite while Shade would have picked Kisame.
All characters that were available for selection received at least one vote – except for Hanzo the Salamander and Dan Kato.

Place 3: Naruto Uzumaki
- Result: 10% with 389 votes
Naruto himself lands in 3rd place with you! The little outsider from Konoha has come a long way and is a true hero. He has become one of the most powerful ninjas of all time. His path to Hokage was anything but easy. He was often shunned and misunderstood.
But instead of giving up, he kept fighting, surpassing himself and believing in his dream of becoming Hokage.
Time and again, he sees the good in people and never lets his friends down. He has inspired many ninjas and us as well. Naruto always reminds you to never give up on your dreams. You just have to love him.
Place 2: Kakashi Hatake
- Result: 15% with 606 votes
Kakashi Hatake comes in at 2nd place – which surprises hardly anyone.
Kakashi is the laid-back type who keeps a cool head in any situation – no matter how dangerous it gets. But behind this calm exterior lies a sad past. The losses he suffered shaped him and helped him become even stronger. He has never given up hope.
Two of his quirks are his obsession with the flirt paradise series and his lateness. The reason: every morning he visits the grave of his deceased friend Obito, who also always came late and had fitting excuses.
Kakashi is just a lovable character that you have to warm up to – the ninja who is always there when you need him. And of course, he is the man who gave us all the unforgettable moment when he finally showed his face.
Place 1: Itachi Uchiha
- Result: 17% with 691 votes
Itachi snags 1st place! He is the most popular Naruto
character in the MeinMMO community. Admittedly? It’s really hard not to be impressed by him.
For many, he was initially the cold-hearted older brother who had wiped out the Uchiha. But later, we learn what lies behind it.
Itachi made himself out to be a traitor to protect Konoha and his little brother Sasuke. He sacrificed everything – his family, his reputation, and even his own happiness.
His greatest strength lies in his ability to sacrifice himself and fight for a higher cause, even if it means being hated and misunderstood by everyone.
He is actually the unsung hero. So it’s no wonder that he is your number 1 for many of you.

Honorable Mention to Finish: The Ramen Guy
Even though he didn’t make it into the top 10 (the poor guy only got 15 votes), Teuchi, the owner of Konoha’s famous ramen shop, deserves a mention. His ramen shop is a refuge for the ninjas. He is basically the heart of Konoha.
The likable Teuchi is always there when the ninjas need a meal after a long day. Especially for Naruto, Teuchi is an important figure – he has supported him in many moments and helped him through tough times.
