In My MMO, we want to know: What do you think of Overwatch?
Since yesterday morning (May 5, 1:00 AM), Overwatch is in open beta. Until May 9 at 7:00 PM, everyone interested has the chance to try the game for free. We have explained how the download works and what system requirements are needed here. The open beta includes the full scope that will be available at launch – except for minor bug fixes perhaps. A total of 21 heroes are available to choose from, with whom you can have a great time fighting on various objective-based maps.
This time we want to know from you: What do you think of Overwatch? Are you enjoying the open beta? Are you playing with friends or solo?
Cortyn says: I have already stated elsewhere that Overwatch with friends offers a completely different gaming experience than playing alone with randoms. I really miss the fun moments on Skype when you decide to throw all reason overboard and charge in with 6 Soldier: 76 at the same time.
Additionally, Overwatch often produces thrilling battles at the end of a map. The last meters of a payload are the most exciting, and there is often a “final showdown” over several minutes, where desperate attempts are made to push the darn train the last few centimeters.
I don’t hide it: I already really like Overwatch in open beta, although this is only true because I can play it with friends. But if I can convince one or two of them to keep playing even after the game’s release, then Blizzard has probably “hooked” me again.
