Crunchyroll has announced that it will show My Hero Academia in simulcast. So you will need an active subscription to the streaming service to watch the final season. Since only Crunchyroll has all previous seasons in its programming, it is assumed that they will secure the grand finale exclusively.
Story: What happens in the anime?
Season 8 will showcase both the “Final War” and “Epilogue” arcs. The final battle between villains and heroes continues. Afterwards, we will see what has happened to the survivors and what social life looks like after the battle.
