World of Warcraft is known for being one of the longest-lasting and most successful MMORPGs on the market. However, it is also well-known that the MMORPG, as it ages, despite occasional fresh updates, appears rather outdated. The latest example discovered by a player leaves no doubt about it.
What did the player discover? The Twitter user @KENOASTRAL turns out to be a WoW player who is active on the social media platform. A particular tweet has caused quite a stir. It was about graphical oddities in the MMORPG.
Among them are orc and tauren babies who, to put it mildly, seem to consist of very few polygons. Their faces look as if they were slapped on
, as if the label had shifted slightly. It is certainly not for the faint of heart.
How are other users reacting to this? Twitter user @EiyaWoW succinctly states what he thinks: THIS IS DISTURBING
. The user @itsJuanSolos even advocates renaming “Children’s Week to Bread Week,” as the little critters are covered in a texture resembling that of bread.
Furthermore, Twitter user @Schrei205 further amused himself by stating that it’s no wonder Sylvanas had eaten babies.
Analysts expect a revision of Azeroth
Whether the graphics will change afterward, as was the case with the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV, remains to be seen. So far, Blizzard has not commented on whether WoW will receive a completely overhauled graphics update. However, analysts now assume such a revision.
