The dodge bug is considered to be the most annoying bug in Pokémon GO, but it seems to be fixed now. This is reported by several players.
This is the bug in question: Since the game was released, there has been the dodge bug in Pokémon GO. When you dodge an attack in a battle, you still take damage.
It’s particularly annoying when your Pokémon is eliminated because of this. Then you cannot fight with any Pokémon for a while unless you switch to a new monster.
Many players have therefore stopped dodging. They have simply accepted that one cannot dodge properly in the game. But now there is news about the bug, as it seems to be fixed!
The dodge bug in Pokémon GO – Finally fixed?
This is what players are reporting: On Reddit, several videos are now being shown that prove the dodge bug is fixed. They dodge the opponent’s attack and take no damage.
Whether the bug is definitively fixed or if it is just being tested and the bug will appear again soon remains to be seen. However, there is hope, as it seems that the bug can now be fixed.
It had been suggested: In the Update 0.141.0, there were initial hints about this bug fix, as Niantic added snippets of code that looked like a fix. The assumptions were therefore confirmed.
Where does the bug fix apply? Everywhere you can dodge, the bug fix works. That means in every raid and every gym battle.
That’s why this bug fix is so important: Dodging is actually essential in Pokémon GO. This way you can keep your Pokémon alive longer and don’t have to quickly choose a new team in raids.
Until now, dodging was discouraged, as in the end, it took longer to deal with the bug than to simply choose a new Pokémon. But now you can finally dodge properly and thus survive longer.
You can try the bug fix immediately on the current raid bosses:
