Germany’s largest Twitch streamer, Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris (35) has invited over 100 people to a large Christmas party, but many are not coming to the event.
What kind of event is it?
- Germany’s largest streamer, who has already earned €10,000 with political commentary, is planning a Christmas event on Twitch for December 17th.
- For the event, he has organized an entire ski resort – with an artificial ski slope, as well as a whole hotel complex with over 115 hotel rooms and cabins, and a game hall specially built for the event.
- Many influencers are invited to the event, who can produce content there as they wish. Activities such as sledding or skiing will be offered.
- In the evening, everyone is supposed to eat together and do a Secret Santa.
Previously, MontanaBlack invited a YouTube veteran that many have likely forgotten.
MontanaBlack expected many cancellations
Why are so many cancelling the event? There are likely two main reasons for the influencers’ cancellations:
- MontanaBlack and his team decided to host the event only a month ago. That’s not a lot of lead time. Other events, like the charity event from Gronkh and PietSmiet, are already announced a year in advance.
- The event takes place on the weekend before Christmas, on a Sunday. At a date so close to Christmas, many people cannot attend, as they already have other commitments.
Even though the Twitch events of the streamer are always popular, the circumstances make it hard for many to commit.
Which influencers have cancelled? Over 35 influencers have already cancelled, including big names like streamer Unge or soccer star Kai Havertz. MontanaBlack himself recently named everyone who would not be attending the event.

Is the Christmas event in danger of cancellation? The Christmas event is probably not in danger of cancellation. In his last statement, the Twitch streamer said he invited about 150–200 people. He himself expects only about 50 % confirmations and can invite more people to the event at any time. For this reason, the event will likely take place, even if some interesting guests are missing.
One person who is not coming to the event is Papaplatte, who recently made headlines because he “would not participate again under any circumstances” in 7 vs. Wild.
