For the 15th anniversary of Monster Hunter, two figures were released. A golden Rathian made of gold and a silver Rathalos made of platinum. They are available for just slightly over €73,000.
With Monster Hunter World and its expansion Iceborne, the latest game in the Monster Hunter franchise is running. The series has been around for 15 years, and for the anniversary, a lot of merchandise has been announced for the Japanese market. This includes two incredibly expensive dragon statues.
Merchandise at a Premium Price
These are the figures: Currently, two figures are available in a Japanese online store for the anniversary of Monster Hunter. One is a statue of the golden Rathian made of gold and the other is of the silver Rathalos made of platinum.
Here’s what the dragons cost: You can acquire these for the modest price of 8,800,000 ¥ each. Converted, that’s slightly over €73,000 – what a bargain, right?

This is how the Silver Rathalos presents itself:

The figures are of course not delivered in plastic packaging. They come in a high-quality glass case – stylishly. You can also buy both in a bundle, saving you a few bucks.
Can you also get the figures in Germany? Unfortunately, both dragon statues are intended only for the Japanese market. So if you want to spend your money, you have to come up with something.
