Here you will learn how to unlock the Sakura Armor for Monster Hunter World on PS4 and Xbox One and what requirements you need to meet. We will also provide an overview of the other event quests that are currently running.
The event quest “Empress in Full Bloom” started today, on May 4th. This quest gives you the Sakura set which transforms you into the Japanese girl from Street Fighter V. In order to start the quest, you do not need a Street Fighter V save file, as was the case for Ryu.
These are the Sakura quest details:
- Name: Empress in Full Bloom (I, II, III)
- Level: 7 stars
- Objective: Kill the Pink Rathian
- Location: Arena (at the top of the Gathering Hub)
- Quest Type: Challenge
- Duration: May 4 – May 10
- Requirements: Hunter Rank 12 or higher – How to increase your Hunter Rank
- Failing Conditions: Time’s up, fainted 9 times
- Available on: PS4 and Xbox One
Why is the quest available three times? Empress in Full Bloom is available 3 times with the same requirements and conditions. Since this is an arena challenge, you only have a specific selection of weapons available. With the three quests, however, you have access to all 14 weapon classes and can take whichever one you prefer. Otherwise, there are no differences between the quests, not even in the rewards.

Crafting the Sakura Armor: The Sakura Armor is a one-piece set. This means that Sakura does not consist of multiple armor pieces and you cannot mix it with other armors. Once you have received the special event reward “SFV Ticket II”, you can go to the forge, and the Sakura Armor will appear there.
Materials:
- 4 x SFV Ticket II (Special reward from the event quest itself)
- 4 x Hunter King Coin
- 4 x Rathian Coin
- 6 x Pink Rathian Scale+
A nice detail of the quest is that you have to do this as Sakura. Even before you even have the armor.
These events are still worthwhile for their special rewards
Additionally, a new event rotation has begun and you can take on the following events:
- Triple Threat:
- Objective: Hunt Great Jagras, Great Girros, Dodogama
- Condition: JR 13
- Special Reward: Increased chance for decorations
- An Easy Task
- Objective: Deliver 10 Gourmet Mushroom Caps
- Condition: JR 30
- Special Reward: Blue Tracks for tempered monsters
- Pickle Time:
- Objective: Hunt a tempered Demonjho
- Condition: JR 50
- Special Reward: Increased chance for Energy Stones
Just like the Sakura quest, these events will disappear again on May 10th, when the new rotation begins.
