The PC players of Monster Hunter: World will soon be able to hunt the golden Elder Dragon Kulve Taroth. The event quest for Kulve is called “Feast in the Earthen Hall” and is time-limited.
When does the event take place? The event quest for the new Elder Dragon will be available on PC from November 2nd to November 15th. During this time, players will be able to enter the special quest area “Eldorado Caves,” where they can engage in a siege battle against Kulve.
How do you unlock the event quest? To face Kulve Taroth, the following conditions must be met:
- Main story must be completed
- You need a Hunter Rank of at least 16
- You must have collected enough Gold Shards – for example, in the first area of the Ancient Forest.

What is the goal of the quest? The siege can be compared to a raid. The fight can be participated by up to 16 players and is divided into four major phases. During these phases, several tasks must be completed to ultimately obtain the best possible equipment:
- You need to break off as many parts from Kulve as possible
- You must collect as many of Kulve’s materials as possible along the way
- You need to achieve certain quest objectives, such as entering a new area
A special point counter will tell you how well you performed in the fight. The amount of points not only determines which reward you receive at the end but also how much time you have to fight Kulve. She can indeed flee from you even in the middle of the battle.

What you need to do to get the best reward, as well as tips on how to achieve that, can be found here:
Is the event quest of Kulve Taroth worth it? The armors of the Elder Dragons are considered some of the best in the game and are definitely worth the effort. Additionally, you also receive special relic weapons from the quest. There are over 300 different ones, and they can have a rarity value of 8. However, it is unfortunately random which weapon you receive as a reward. They are therefore associated with a significant grind.
