Monster Hunter World is now available for PC in a box

The PC version of Monster Hunter World is now also available as a box that you can put on your shelf. The physical version comes with a DVD-ROM.

Monster Hunter World had its digital release on Steam on August 9. From now on, the action RPG about monster hunting is also available as a box in stores. So far, Monster Hunter World has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide and has become Capcom’s most successful title of all time.

What does the box version for PC contain? The box consists of a case featuring Rathalos and a group of hunters on the cover. Inside the case, there is a DVD-ROM and not just a digital code.

The release on Steam had a rocky start due to performance issues

Shortly after the release on Steam, complaints about poor performance and connection issues in multiplayer began to mount. Thus, Monster Hunter World received only moderate reviews on Steam despite a player record.

Capcom is working on issues: Currently, the PC port is not perfect but definitely acceptable. The developers are still working on improving performance and fixing bugs. Players should expect some hiccups while playing Monster Hunter World on PC at this point.

Complaints are mostly technical: The game itself has been positively rated by PC gamers. It is mostly the technical implementation that has dragged some reviews down. However, some Steam reviews now say that it is not as dramatic as it was right at launch.
