Capcom is giving all players of Monster Hunter World who want a character edit a one-time free modification ticket since March 16. Here we show you how the change in the appearance of your Hunter works.
As we reported previously, players of Monster Hunter World wanted a post-creation character customization. Because for some of them, the created Hunter in the game suddenly looked different than shortly before in the character editor.
Therefore, since March 16, Capcom has been distributing vouchers for a one-time edit of one’s character in the game. One ticket is free, others are planned to be purchasable later for real money.
This is how to change the character
Before editing the character, the free ticket must be downloaded from the store of the respective console. Go to the shop page of Monster Hunter World. The ticket is available where the other add-ons for the game can also be found.
The character can be edited in the menu where you select your save file.
Simply select the corresponding save and press “X” on the Xbox One or “Square” on the PlayStation 4.
As at the beginning of the game, the character can now be freely edited and changed.
But beware, the following features cannot be changed with the ticket:
- Name of the Hunter
- Name of the Palicos
- Appearance of the Palicos
If you are satisfied with your Hunter, you can complete the editing and save your character. The game will then ask you if you really want to redeem the voucher for character modification.
If you change your mind and do not want to make the changes with the voucher, you can cancel the editing at any time. The ticket will not be consumed in this way.
However, if you only want to change cosmetic details of your Hunter, such as hairstyle, hair color, or face paint, you do not need to sacrifice a voucher for character customization.
You can do this at any time in the game. Go to your room and approach the chest behind your Palico housekeeper. In the menu of the chest, it is possible to change the cosmetic features of your character as you wish.
Micha says: I tried the voucher myself and was able to successfully redesign my Hunter. Finally, she doesn’t look like a hamster in the cutscenes anymore!
