Honey is especially an important resource at the beginning of Monster Hunter Wild. We will show you where you can find honey.
Why is honey important in the game? Honey is a material that you can find from enemies, from quests, and in the landscape. Honey is important at the beginning because you can use it to craft mega potions: These are twice as strong as regular healing potions. This makes honey especially valuable in the first hours of gameplay.

Honey: the best locations
Where can you find honey? You can find honey already in the first region of the game, the Wind Plains. The honey can be found in beehives.
- You will find the first beehive directly in area 1. Leave the base and head south.
- You can find another one near area 8. Here you will find the beehives at the riverbank if you go east.
- You will find a third beehive in area 13. For this, walk to the oasis that is nearby.
It’s best to start collecting honey in area 1. To do this, leave the base camp heading east. After that, you can visit the other two locations.
Similar to flint, which you can also farm, the honey spots regenerate by themselves after a while. So be patient when you have farmed all the spots. A timer will tell you when you can collect again.
Tip: In focus mode, you can leisurely ride around and collect honey – and other resources – with your hook. This way, you won’t even need to stop and walk over.
