What kind of quest is this? Your Palico will familiarize you with a side quest after Chapter 5, Mission 3, in which you need to catch a giant vitality wasp.
Don’t confuse this with the “Healing Support” quest, as that requires you to catch a normal vitality wasp. Many are now wondering where to find such a special wasp and, more importantly, how to catch it? We will show you.
How to Catch the Giant Vitality Wasp
Where can I find the wasps? There are various places where you might randomly encounter these wasps. These include the following areas:
- Windy Plain – Area 10 or 13
- Carmine Forest – Area 8
- Ruins of Wyveria – Area 2, 5, and 13
We would recommend the Windy Plain in area 13. It is quick to reach, you are undisturbed, and there are no powerful monsters around that could interfere with your catch. You can then simply mark the giant vitality wasp on your map and ride your Saikrii.
How do I catch the wasp? To catch the wasp, you cannot hit it with your giant weapon; you need to equip the “Catching Net” from your item menu. Activate it with your slingshot and then aim at the wasp. Now fire at it, and you’ve caught the wasp.
Now you can go back to your Palico and deliver the wasp. Once you have completed the quest, you will receive some potions and the possibility that your furry friend can revive you with one of these wasps.
