During the Tokyo Game Show 2025, the contents for TU3 of Monster Hunter Wilds were revealed. What to expect is detailed here. A preview of TU4 was also included, fulfilling a literally large wish of the fans.
When will TU3 for Monster Hunter Wilds be released? The next major update is scheduled for September 29, 2025.
What content is included? The update brings the following content:
- Collaboration with the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV
- Arch tempered Nu Udra
- New animations for quest completion
- New event quests
- New seasonal event: Dream Spell
- New cosmetic DLC content

And what about the preview of TU4? At the end of the presentation, Capcom shared a brief teaser, offering a glimpse of the new gigantic monster in the fourth major update. Title Update 4 is expected to release in December and brings the return of Gogmazios, the first Elder Dragon in the game – exactly what fans have been wishing for for quite some time (see Reddit).

All Content in Title Update 3 of Monster Hunter Wilds
Collaboration with Final Fantasy XIV
With the release of the update, a collaboration is introduced that was already very popular in its predecessor, Monster Hunter World. You can look forward to the following content:
- An exclusive battle against the iconic opponent from FF14 “Omega Planetes”
- A Chocobo skin for your Saikrii
- Various armor sets for your Palico
- Exclusive armor sets and weapons styled after the Dark Knight and the Pictomancer from Final Fantasy XIV with special move sets and actions
- New, fitting native creatures
To participate in the event, you must have reached Hunter Rank 41 and completed the main quest “What Lies Ahead”. The event quest will be permanently available in the game.
Arch tempered Nu Udra
With the Arch tempered Nu Udra, the third tempered monster joins Rey Dau and Uth Duna. To fight him, you must have reached at least Hunter Rank 100. The associated event quest will be permanently available in the game upon the release of the update. You can also earn exclusive equipment variants through this.
Seasonal Event: Dream Spell
With the new seasonal event: Dream Spell, players will experience an event inspired by Halloween, transforming the Great Site once again into a fitting atmosphere and bringing exclusive Halloween-themed rewards. A specific date for this has not yet been announced.
Further Innovations in TU3
In addition to these major innovations, there will also be some smaller new contents to look forward to:
- Free cosmetic items in the form of 4 new gestures and 3 Felyne charms
- The paid Cosmetic Pack 3
- New animations for quest completion that you can set in the menu
Preview of Title Update 4
Additionally, a brief preview of the following update was provided in the form of a roadmap. Title Update 4 is scheduled to be released in December 2025 and will also bring several innovations:
- With Gogmazios, the first Elder Dragon of Monster Hunter Wilds as a new monster
- An expansion of endgame content
- A seasonal event suited for winter
- Diverse improvements based on player feedback
Additional improvements will also be regularly addressed between the major updates and detailed via x.com in the form of so-called “Guild Reports”.
The collaboration with Final Fantasy XIV also gets an equivalent in the MMORPG, in addition to the event quest in Monster Hunter Wilds. However, to participate, you will need to invest quite a bit of time unless you are already up-to-date: Monster Hunter Wilds receives popular crossover – however, to play it in tandem, you will need to invest around 500 hours
