The official end for the MMORPG WildStar has now been announced. The lights will go out later this year. The end date is in November 2018. Until then, WildStar will step on the gas once again and entice players with many discounts and events.
A few days ago, WildStar announced that the MMORPG will be discontinued. After just about four years, the game by Carbine is coming to an end and the developer studio will be dissolved. Now WildStar has announced a specific date.
On November 28, 2018, the servers of WildStar will be shut down.
The last patch brings many improvements: Today (September 26, 2018), the final update also went live for WildStar.
This has mainly disabled real money purchases in the game and increased the drop rates of numerous items. In addition, all items in the shop can now be purchased with Omnibits, the earnable in-game currency. Thus, all remaining players of WildStar can fully enjoy the last weeks and let loose one more time.
These events are still coming: Until the servers are shut down, WildStar will unleash all its popular events once more. Players can look forward to the following:
- Double XP: There will be double experience points until the server shutdown (September 26 – November 28)
- Residential Renovation: The big housing event is making a return (October 12 – October 19)
- Shade’s Eve: Jack will cause fear and panic one last time (October 19 – November 2)
- Protostar’s Gala Winterfest Extravaganza: The big shopping event for Christmas (November 9 – November 23)
- zPrix Invitational: Participate in the hoverboard races one last time (November 24 – November 27)
- Farewell Event: On the last day, the developers will gather on the servers to engage in some fun with the players. Details are yet to come. (November 28)
