This week, WoW was primarily in focus with its new updates 10.0.7 and 10.1. A lot of information was shared about it. But Lost Ark, Bless Global, and the indie MMORPG Past Fate also made headlines. We have summarized all the important news.
The highlights of the week:
- WoW has introduced the new Patch 10.1. This is supposed to be released in spring and will bring a new area, a raid, and cross-faction guilds. Prior to that, Patch 10.0.7 will be released on March 22.
- Bless Global, a relaunch with NFTs, attempted to bribe users on Steam for positive reviews and is being removed from the list.
- Lost Ark is bringing a new update and new events on March 15. MeinMMO author Mark Sellner is sure: There’s never been a better moment to start or return to Lost Ark.
The uproar of the week: A fan festival is finally taking place in person again in Final Fantasy XIV. But scalpers are taking advantage of this and demanding $1,000 for a link.
The discussion of the week: Modern MMORPGs have a grind aspect that was much rarer in the past and is really annoying. This refers to daily and monthly tasks as well as cooldowns that hinder progress. Does this bother you too or do you consider this change to be a good thing? Feel free to discuss here or directly in the article.
The week in the podcast: In their own podcast MMO News, Alexander Leitsch and Mark Sellner talk again this week about the most important news around MMORPGs. Topics included the new information on Throne and Liberty, Amazon in general, Bless Global, the new MMORPGs Teredor, Pax Dei and Pantheon, as well as the latest news around Lost Ark and WoW.

- Ghostcrawler, the head of the LoL MMORPG, is leaving Riot Games for personal reasons.
- Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is hosting a new alpha event from March 18 to 19 (via Twitter). The last gameplay shown was not received well: The new MMORPG was considered the great PvE hope for 8 years – But the new gameplay looks terrible
