Amazon has released an official video for the upcoming sandbox MMORPG New World. However, it’s not particularly spectacular.
New World features impressive graphics, thanks to the Lumberyard Engine. This leads to beautiful effects, which can now be seen in the video.
A Beautiful Day-Night Cycle
What does the video show? Two buildings are visible, apparently a farm. The sun sets in the background and night arrives before the sun rises again.
Were there videos before?
- There have been gameplay videos of New World before, but they were not official, instead, they were leaked.
- On Facebook, Amazon uploaded short clips (Vva Facebook New World), but they show even less than the current one.
What is special about the video? The video aims to convey the atmosphere that you will experience in New World, especially when night falls.
In the darkness, supernatural creatures appear, proving to be particularly strong opponents. The video highlights this transition to a ghostly and eerie atmosphere as night approaches.
What is New World? New World is a sandbox MMORPG developed by Amazon Game Studios. You will experience adventures in colonial America while exploring the area with other players and trying to survive.
PvP plays an important role, as does the siege of forts that you build yourself. Crafting is also significant. There are currently no quests planned. The MMORPG is currently in an initial alpha phase, for which invitations have already been sent out.
