The Lord of the Rings Online (LotRO) has received its seventh expansion. Minas Morgul launched yesterday and brings a lot of dark content to the MMORPG. We will tell you what new content awaits you.
Yesterday, the new expansion of Lord of the Rings Online was launched. The MMORPG released in 2007 set in Middle-earth is still being updated with content even after all these years.
What is the cost of the LotRO add-on? The latest expansion is called Minas Morgul, and you can purchase it in three versions:
- Standard Edition for 35.99€
- Collector’s Edition for 75.99€
- The Ultimate Fan Bundle for 114.99€
What is Minas Morgul? Fans of the Lord of the Rings universe should be familiar with the name of the expansion. Minas Morgul is the seat of the Witch-king and his Nazgul. The city is inhabited by Orcs who have targeted Gondor. The army that besieged Minas Tirith also set out from there. After the end of the Ring War, Minas Morgul remains uninhabitable – the horror runs too deep in the city.
A creepy and dead city – The 7th expansion
These new features the LotRO add-on brings:
- Maximum level raised to 130
- Stout-Axe Dwarves as a new playable race
- 2 new regions: The besieged Mordor and the Morgul Valley
- 250 new quests
- New missions in the Black Book of Mordor
- 7 new instances for 3 and 6 players
- 12-player raid with Shelob (Kankra) the spider as the opponent

This is the story of the expansion: After Sauron’s death and the destruction of the Ring, it is up to the players to vanquish the last remnants of evil in Middle-earth. Your path will lead you to Minas Morgul, a creepy, dead city and its surroundings.
If you venture into the besieged Mordor, you will be embroiled in visions of the Second Age. There you will experience these events in the role of a hero.

These expansions of LotRO are also available: Even though the MMORPG has already been around for 12 years, it continues to be supplied with plenty of content. Minas Morgul is already the seventh expansion of the online game and can look back on these predecessors:
