The new MMORPG Eternal Magic from the Chinese developer Duoyi is launching its open beta in September. It aims to appeal particularly to PvP players and fashion enthusiasts.
What is Eternal Magic? Eternal Magic is a Free2Play MMORPG focused on various PvP modes and social aspects. You can look forward to
- Capture the Flag, a MOBA arena, and guild wars,
- as well as content like In-game weddings, housing, or beauty contests.
The beauty contest is officially called Queen’s Rating and only allows female characters to participate.
In combat, however, your gender does not matter. Instead, the synergies of the classes take center stage, and you can choose from five different ones.
There are also supposed to be combo attacks that will become particularly important later in the game.
What is available for PvE players? If you do not want to duel in PvP or on the runway, you can look forward to an open game world and dungeons in three different difficulty levels.
During the leveling phase, you will encounter classic dungeons starting from level 18. From level 60, heroic versions will be added. Above that, there will be Chaos Dungeons, which are said to be particularly difficult.
Start of the open beta still in September
When will Eternal Magic be released? Currently, there is no release date for the new MMORPG. However, the open beta of Eternal Magic starts on September 26.
How is the open beta structured? Since the MMORPG will be Free2Play, the open beta is also available for free. During the beta, you can test everything and have no restrictions on character level.
Additionally, you will carry over all progress from the beta to the actual game. Getting early access is worthwhile, especially since an extra server (Andromeda) was created for European players.
Because you retain progress, the beta is almost like a soft release. The MMORPG will thus compete with Astellia, which officially launches on September 28, and ArcheAge Unchained, which will be released only two days later.
What can you pay for? Anyone who has purchased one of the founder’s packages for Eternal Magic can start the open beta early. For owners of all packages, the beta starts on September 23, three days earlier.
In addition to the head start, players also receive exclusive titles, pets, and other cosmetic content, tickets for treasure hunts, and additional bonuses. The cheapest package costs $15, while the Deluxe version costs $65.
Additionally, by liking the official Facebook page, you can also receive some of the pre-order bonuses. You can find more about this and the packages on the official website.
Is Eternal Magic worth it for me? If you are a big fan of social content such as housing, weddings, or beauty contests and like the graphics, then you should definitely pay a visit to the game.
Also, for PvP fans, a look at the MMORPG might be worthwhile, as it promises various modes and exciting battles.
Whether the population will be large enough to keep the PvP and the game in general running will remain to be seen. Since Eternal Magic will be Free2Play, you have little to lose when testing.
Besides Eternal Magic, several other MMORPGs are also being released this year:
