Update 18 is set for May 21 and expands The Elder Scrolls Online with the chapter “Summerset.” The last chapter “Morrowind” will now be part of the Crown Store. Players can acquire the class “Warden” individually as well. And Zenimax opens the PvP battlegrounds to all players.
Daily more information about “Summerset” is being revealed. But first, Zenimax clarifies a few things regarding Morrowind before the new chapter appears.
From Tamriel Unlimited to Elder Scrolls Online
So far, there have been two different versions of ESO on the market. Once the version “The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited,” which only included the base game, and the version “The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind.” The latter included the chapter Morrowind and the base game.
With Update 18, these two versions will merge into The Elder Scrolls Online. This means all buyers of this new version will receive the chapter Morrowind for free.

It is worth waiting until May 21 if you do not own ESO yet and are not interested in the chapter “Summerset.” Players who pre-order Summerset now will receive Morrowind for free.
More ways to experience Morrowind
The contents from Morrowind will become part of the ESO Plus membership with “Summerset” and can be purchased with Crowns in the Crown Store as a DLC expansion.
Among the contents you will unlock are:
- the area Vvardenfell
- the quests from Morrowind
- the trial (Halls of Fabrication)
However, the Warden is not included in this DLC expansion and can be purchased separately for Crowns.

If you are only interested in the bonuses of the Collector’s Edition, these are also available through the Crown Store. This includes:
- Dwemer Warhorse
- Dwemer Spider (Companion)
- Style of the Morag Tong
- Gray War Bear
- Character emotes
- Warden costume
- Dwemer War Dog
- Treasure maps
- Dwemer Crown crate
- Scrolls of Learning
ESO therefore offers players the opportunity to pick exactly the content they want.
PvP Battlegrounds for everyone in The Elder Scrolls Online
Update 18 will make the PvP battlegrounds from Morrowind part of the base game. All players can then queue for battlegrounds starting May 21 and receive daily PvP rewards.
Currently, the battlegrounds offer five exciting game modes across six battleground arenas.

For all players who have not yet purchased Morrowind, but are interested in the PvP battlegrounds, this is good news.
With Summerset, many new, exciting contents are coming to ESO. ESO: Summerset – Everything you need to know about the new chapter.
