A first trailer for the upcoming mobile game Minecraft Earth has been revealed. The game aims to set new standards.
Currently, the celebrations for the 10th anniversary of Minecraft are in full swing. Accordingly, Microsoft has now released a trailer for a completely new game that aims to set new standards. In Minecraft Earth, players will not build a world on PC or console, but venture out into the real world to overlay reality with buildings in an “augmented reality” game. This will be played on iOS and Android smartphones, clearly targeting the worldwide success of Pokémon GO.
What can be seen in the trailer? The trailer is more of a concept idea and reveals little about the actual gameplay. A young lady can be seen recognizing various buildings and creatures from Minecraft through her smartphone, which are bustling in the real world.

What features will there be? There is not yet an exact list of all features, but many details are already known. For example, players will be able to:
- collect resources in the game world, like in Minecraft, including wood and stone.
- build their own structures and place them in the world where they can be found by other players. Building can also be done together.
- team up to experience adventures that offer special loot or resources.
- There will be a leveling system that unlocks new content
How can one play? Minecraft Earth has not been released yet. However, those who wish can already register now for a chance to be among the first players. Additionally, there is an exclusive skin for registration that you can use in Minecraft Earth or the Bedrock version of Minecraft.
