Microsoft has introduced its latest gaming headset for PC and Xbox. For around 60 Euros, you can get the new stereo headset. MeinMMO presents what you can expect for the money.
After the Xbox Wireless Headset, Microsoft is now introducing a wired gaming headset for PC and console.
The design strongly resembles the Xbox Wireless Headset, with the difference that the stereo headset is connected to the PC or console via cable.
What technology is built into the headset? So far, Microsoft has released little information about the new headset. However, since the new headset closely resembles the wireless version, we assume that Microsoft will also use similar technology for the stereo headset.
In the wireless headset, Microsoft used 40mm drivers and so-called neodymium magnets. For the frequencies, the wireless device offers a range of 20 Hz – 20,000 Hz. It is quite likely that the stereo headset will also use a similar technical configuration.
Officially, the stereo headset should support all major surround sound technologies like Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone:X.
Which devices is the headset compatible with? Officially, the device is compatible with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PCs with a 3.5 mm jack. However, we assume that the headset should also work with smartphones that have a headphone jack. Technically, nothing speaks against it.

In the 60-Euro range, the SteelSeries Arctis 1 is currently a real alternative
What does the SteelSeries Arctis 1 offer? With the gaming headset from SteelSeries, you get a simple gaming headset for around 60 Euros that forgoes RGB and similar gimmicks.
For the price, you get high comfort: thanks to the low weight of 288 grams and the soft ear cushions, the gaming headset is very comfortable and is also suitable for larger heads or glasses wearers.
It can also impress with good sound, even though the bass could be a bit stronger. Some users criticize that the cable at 1.5 meters is much too short, and the headset does not come with a Y-adapter if you want to use it on PC.
