We are looking for freelance support to assist us from home.
With MeinMMO, we reach several million people every month who share our enthusiasm for gaming. Here you’ll find articles and videos with stories, guides, opinions, recommendations, or interviews.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for freelance authors to support us in reporting on Helldivers 2 and shooters in general. You should enjoy sharing your knowledge in the gaming field. Here’s what you should bring:
- a knack for exciting stories
- a great passion for gaming, especially for the loot shooter Destiny 2
- a willingness to dive deep into topics and research
- you use social platforms like Twitter, Reddit, and TikTok
- you enjoy writing
- a willingness to work on weekends is a plus
This is a plus, but not a must: You already have experience in the media field. This includes: having your own blog, working for another website, having your own channel on Twitch, TikTok, or YouTube.
What is it about?
Do you know everything about Joel’s machinations? Do you know exactly which weapons fit the current meta? With every update, do you first dig deep into the patch notes and can immediately provide your co-op team with a summary and the most exciting information from the new update?
Then working at MeinMMO is made for you!
While we are specifically looking for support in reporting on Destiny 2, other shooters can certainly also be covered. We find multiplayer and loot shooters particularly exciting such as:
- Helldivers 2
- Destiny 2
- Fortnite
- Call of Duty
- Warframe
- Valorant
- Apex Legends
How do we work?
The way of working: You independently research exciting stories in the Destiny community and on Bungie’s official channels. Together with the editorial team, you plan the topics you will report on. You work with analysis tools like Google Trends to find the most urgent topics for our readers. You write articles that fit MeinMMO and our community.
The times: You can work for MeinMMO for a few hours on at least three days a week. Up to 20 hours per week are possible.
The payment: The fee is calculated on an hourly basis in the news room, not per article or based on character count.
What do we offer?
- Access to a successful gaming editorial team
- Practical experience and training in game journalism
- Access to editorial tools conveniently from home
- An environment that shares a passion for gaming
- Lots of variety, as each topic brings something new
- Regular coaching in data analysis and storytelling
- Connection to the Webedia network, which includes GameStar, GamePro, MeinMMO, Moviepilot, and Filmstarts.

- Who you are: A short cover letter with your resume
