We are looking for freelance writers who can support us from home.
With MeinMMO, we reach over three million people every month who share our enthusiasm for gaming. Here you will find articles and videos featuring stories, guides, opinions, recommendations, or interviews.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for freelance writers who can help us with daily reporting and who enjoy sharing their knowledge in the gaming field. Here’s what you should bring:
- a knack for exciting stories
- a great passion for gaming and everything around it
- a willingness to dive deep into subjects and research
- you use social platforms like Twitter, Reddit, and TikTok
- you enjoy writing
- a willingness to work on weekends to cover current news
This is a plus, but not a must: You already have experience in the media field. This could include: a personal blog, work for another website, a personal channel on Twitch, TikTok, or YouTube.
What’s it about?
Are you constantly engaged with games? Do you eagerly follow events like the Summer Game Fest to see what will be played next? Are you active on Reddit, Discord, and Twitter to track discussions and information about games? Would you like to work in a modern online editorial team?
Then working at MeinMMO is the perfect fit for you!
We are particularly looking for topics related to:
- Shooters
- Survival MMOs
- Deadlock
- League of Legends
- Monster Hunter: Wilds
- Dragon Age
- Twitch & YouTube
- EA Sports FC (formerly FIFA)
How do we work?
The working method: You independently research exciting stories in gaming communities and on the official channels of publishers. Together with the editorial team, you plan the topics you will report on. You use analytical tools like Google Trends to find the most pressing topics for our readers. You write articles that fit MeinMMO and our community.
The times: You can work for MeinMMO for a few hours at least three days a week. Up to 20 hours per week are possible.
The payment: The fee is calculated in the news room on an hourly basis, not per article or based on word count.
What do we offer?
- Access to a successful gaming editorial team
- Practical experience and further training in web journalism
- Access to editorial tools conveniently from home
- An environment that is passionate about gaming and nerd culture
- Variety, as each topic brings something new
